Top SchoolAaron Smyth is a versatile web developer and startup operator with over a decade of hands-on experience building products, teams, and companies from the ground up. Early experience as one of Yext’s first employees and later founding and leading roles (including CTO at CourseTag and multi-role leadership at Workfolio) give him a rare blend of product, customer, and engineering perspective. He’s comfortable shipping full-stack solutions in fast-moving media and SaaS environments, and now freelances while mentoring new developers through General Assembly workshops. Aaron’s business education in Information Systems from NYU complements his technical instincts, helping him align engineering work with commercial outcomes. He’s actively seeking founding or advisory roles where his combination of operational grit and developer fluency can accelerate early-stage growth.
