Top SchoolAaron Tainter is an engineer with 11 years of experience building scalable, production-grade systems and developer platforms, currently working at WorkOS and based in Phoenix, Arizona. He led design and implementation of a Zanzibar-inspired authorization system at Carta that returned permission checks under 10ms and drove adoption with a permissions-visualization UI. Prior roles at eBay include architecting high-throughput commerce frontends and rebuilding AI orchestration services to improve concurrency and latency by orders of magnitude. He’s also an independent creator behind the Hacker Shack YouTube channel (150k+ subscribers, 10M views), producing hardware and coding tutorials that showcase his ability to translate complex technical concepts for broad audiences. Comfortable across Python/Django, React, Kubernetes, Scala and systems-level tooling, Aaron blends backend distributed-systems expertise with practical developer platform and frontend experience. His work habitually focuses on measurably reducing operational burden—whether via platform scaffolding, CI/CD patterns, or performance-first architecture.
