Top SchoolAbder Benbachir is a software engineer with 10 years of experience focused on performance, monitoring, and distributed systems, currently building next-generation distributed tracing at Dropbox using Go, OpenTracing/OpenTelemetry, and Honeycomb. Previously at Microsoft he modernized Azure's Linux monitoring agent in C++, improving reliability and observability for large-scale cloud deployments. He has hands-on DevOps and backend experience maintaining the Azure linux-extensions/OMS agent—automating packaging, versioning, and log-size reductions that improved build and telemetry workflows. Trained as a computer engineer with a master's in cloud virtualization from Polytechnique Montréal, he blends systems-level rigor with practical automation skills. Colleagues rely on him for shipping production-grade telemetry and diagnostic tooling that surfaces hard-to-find performance issues. He brings a pragmatic, observability-first mindset that turns distributed-system complexity into actionable insight.
