Senior🎓
Top SchoolAbdul Kaba is a systems engineer at Johns Hopkins APL with nine years of technical experience blending physics, robotics, and program curation. A Morehouse summa cum laude physics graduate, he translated biological insight into engineering improvements at Georgia Tech Research Institute—raising a sidewinder robot’s obstacle-navigation success from 30% to 98% and coauthoring a paper in Bioinspiration & Biomimetics. He brings hands-on experimentation and MATLAB/Arduino expertise to complex systems engineering problems and has evaluated deep-technology ventures through a Breakthrough Energy VC internship. Comfortable moving between research, applied engineering, and STEM program leadership, Abdul combines analytic rigor with practical prototyping. Based in the Washington DC–Baltimore area, he’s noted for turning biological observation into measurable robotic performance gains and for bridging academic research with mission-driven lab engineering.
