Top SchoolAbinav Rameesh is a Principal PM Manager at Microsoft with seven years of experience leading product and growth for Azure DocumentDB/Cosmos DB and a background in software engineering and large-scale migrations. He specializes in accelerating NoSQL adoption through customer-first migration playbooks, executive engagement, and product-led growth experiments that blend technical strategy with data-driven pricing and marketing. Abinav has architected zero-downtime migrations for mission-critical workloads, driven multi-vertical revenue expansion, and cut telemetry costs while preserving observability for SREs and DBAs. As TSC Chair and co-founder of the open-source DocumentDB project, he’s shepherded its donation to the Linux Foundation and built a governance model that includes multiple cloud and enterprise partners. He combines deep systems and database expertise with a talent for translating executive priorities into developer-facing product features, informed by an M.Eng. from Cornell and a B.E. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. An operator at heart, he often surfaces engineering-lead growth levers — from SDK and HA improvements to public open-source initiatives — that aren’t obvious from titles alone.
