Summary
👤
SeniorAgustín C is a generalist software engineer and founder with a decade of experience building production-grade systems, research engineering tooling, and community-driven programs, now focused on AI safety fieldbuilding. As Co-Director and Co-Founder of Kairos he leads the SPAR research program—the largest of its kind globally—after spinning off AI safety group support from the Centre for Effective Altruism. His background spans public policy, cybersecurity, and large-scale scientific workflows, and he’s worked professionally in over a dozen programming languages since starting SWE work in middle school. He has built stochastic models for decision-making at Rethink Priorities, led digital transparency projects used to navigate government records, and prototyped scalable social-benefit interventions at ConsiliumBots. A campus and community builder in Chilean academia and government, he combines technical depth with program leadership to help students and researchers pivot into alignment work. Colleagues describe him as a connector who moves between rigorous research engineering and high-impact organizing with equal facility.
