Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlexandru S is a software engineer with a hands-on MEng in Computer Science and a track record of building practical systems from embedded clusters to production web services. He progressed from internships at Siemens and a Raspberry Pi cluster project at Manchester—where he 3D-printed racks and deployed Kubernetes, Hadoop and Spark—to engineering roles at Booking.com. Comfortable across front-end JavaFX/Swing, Python, Docker, CI/CD and distributed systems, he pairs coding with automation and test-driven practices. Beyond code, he’s led large student programs (managing nearly 600 first-years as a PASS coordinator) and runs community tools like a year-group Discord, showing a talent for scaling processes and people. Colleagues know him as the sort of engineer who likes taking things apart and reliably getting them working again. He is driven by responsibility and continuous learning, blending curiosity for hardware and systems with production software delivery.
