Senior🎓
Top SchoolAlexey Poimtsev is a seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur with 16 years building web and mobile applications, currently leading Asgard Technology and running his own consultancy, Progress Engine. He combines hands-on systems and architecture experience from long-tenure roles at Vimpelcom—where he ran web development across the CIS and managed complex telecom platforms—with startup-focused product and delivery work. Known for translating business needs into scalable architectures, he has deep operational chops in 24/7 platform administration, incident management, and vendor negotiations. Based in Yerevan, he pairs a formal background in mathematics and information systems with practical project leadership across development, testing and deployment. Colleagues describe him as the sort of leader who moves fluidly between low-level system troubleshooting and high-level roadmap decisions, making him effective both as a consultant and as a GM.
