Top SchoolAmanda Dobbyn is a Senior Data Engineer with nine years of experience turning messy, real-world data into actionable insights for clients across startups and engineering teams in New York. She blends hands-on data collection—API integrations and web scraping—with rigorous cleaning, deduplication, transformation, visualization, and modeling, and communicates findings through reports and interactive Shiny dashboards. Her background in behavioral research and experimental programming gives her an unusual edge for designing robust data pipelines and reproducible analyses that respect experimental nuance. At work she moves fluidly between roles as data scientist and engineer, and outside the office she builds open-source tooling like an R interface to the USPS API, demonstrating a practical commitment to improving data access.
