Top SchoolAndres Mariscal is a Senior Data Scientist and Machine Learning Software Engineer with 11 years of international experience applying ML across cybersecurity, publishing, gaming, and tourism, now building at Cloudflare in Lisbon. He combines strong mathematical and statistical modeling foundations with hands-on expertise in Python, deep learning, and high-throughput big-data systems, often tackling convex and non-convex optimization problems at scale. His background spans research in computational biology to production ML roles in Finland, the UK, and Portugal, giving him a rare blend of academic rigor and product-focused delivery. Andres is also an avid tinkerer in compilers, game engines, LLMs and audio foundation models, reflecting a curiosity beyond core ML that informs practical system and inference optimizations. Colleagues describe him as someone who translates state-of-the-art neural approaches into robust, scalable pipelines rather than just prototypes.
