Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolAndrew Tierney is the founder, CEO and CTO of CastleSoft with over three decades of software and leadership experience and a decade explicitly noted as senior-level experience. He has led delivery of high-impact enterprise solutions—from a BI reporting platform and a real-time database replication system to a migration to SAP—that generated measurable business outcomes such as an additional $250M in superannuation income for a client. Comfortable toggling between strategy, governance and hands-on engineering, Andrew has run cost-accountable development teams, automated complex integrations via C# and Microsoft Graph, and implemented large-scale data migrations and security-conscious systems for education and defence customers. He champions equality and pragmatic quality standards at CastleSoft, refusing to “ship junk” while keeping solutions affordable. Notably, his work has produced exceptionally compact, maintainable codebases (one project reduced by 90%) and includes automation of school IT processes at scale, moving millions of records through API-driven pipelines. Based in the Greater Newcastle Area (UK), he blends deep technical craft with corporate governance and procurement experience to deliver auditable, production-ready systems.
