Antoine Mercadal is a seasoned software engineer with 18 years of experience based in San Jose, California, who thrives at the intersection of user-centric front-end design and robust back-end systems. He has a strong track record improving UI/UX in web frameworks—evidenced by contributions to the Cappuccino project that tightened visual consistency and tooltip handling—and solid system-level work on VM orchestration and networking in the Archipel XMPP-based orchestrator. Trained at EPITECH with a Master’s in Computer Science, he combines deep technical fluency with a practical focus on developer experience and maintainable code. Colleagues describe him as creative in approach but rigorous in implementation, often bridging the gap between designers’ intent and systems-level constraints. Not obviously visible from titles alone, he excels at translating low-level platform details into smoother end-user interactions.
