Top SchoolArthur Gouveia is a Senior Software Developer based in Montreal with 14 years of experience building polished front-end experiences and solid back-end systems. He has driven critical public-facing work at Shopify—owning areas like Checkout and Email, evolving the Polaris UI kit, and mentoring a small front-end team—before moving to Scale Computing. Comfortable across TypeScript, React, GraphQL and Rails, he pairs hands-on coding with product-minded UX collaboration and hiring rigor. Early in his career he co-founded an agency, delivering client work across Brazil and honing pragmatic full-stack skills. Known to appreciate coffee, beer and good series, he balances focused craft with a collaborative, practical approach to shipping interfaces at scale. Notably, he has experience adapting UIs for constrained devices and embedded builds, a less obvious strength that informs robust, performant front-end design.
