Summary
🤩
RockstarAshley Matheson is a veteran software engineer and engineering leader with 11+ years building tools, pipelines, and real-time graphics for games and XR, currently consulting through Leidon Labs after senior roles at Unity, EA and Parallel Domain. He combines hands-on architecture and product ownership—shipping cinematic pipelines, live animation streaming, level editors and OpenXR providers—with people leadership across distributed teams. Known for solving messy cross-disciplinary problems, he has led teams that bridge content creation, simulation and rendering while improving workflows and documentation. His career spans both client-side game systems and cloud-scale ingestion frameworks, reflecting a rare blend of low-level systems, tooling and high-fidelity simulation expertise. Based in Vancouver, he’s equally comfortable iterating on engine-level graphics as mentoring junior engineers and engaging strategic hardware partners. An early adopter of XR and cinematic tooling, he quietly champions pragmatic solutions that accelerate creators’ throughput.
