Senior🎓
Top SchoolAurelien Watare is a Director of Digital Solutions with eight years of engineering and project leadership experience focused on power transmission, digital substations and automation. He progressed from real-time operations and protection engineering on France’s 400kV grid to leading R&D and the build-out of RTE’s first full digital substation based on virtualization and open source. Known for bridging hands-on technical delivery (IEC 61850, RTUs, HVDC modeling) with product mindset, he has led intrapreneurial initiatives and operational documentation improvements in a startup incubator context. Now directing digital strategy at RTE International while co-leading Redstork Solutions, he combines utility-scale systems knowledge with digital transformation and automation program management. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic and curious—comfortable coding tooling (VBA) for operations and translating complex protection research into deployable systems. Based in Jonage, France, he blends deep grid-domain expertise with a proven track record of turning research and pilots into production infrastructure.
