Top SchoolAymen Frikha is a Principal Field Software Engineer with 11 years of hands-on experience in cloud networking, OpenStack Neutron, SDN, and Python, currently driving solutions and customer success at Canonical in the United Arab Emirates. He blends academic research—where he built adaptive Neutron plugins and formalized models for multi-tenant datacenters—with extensive field work deploying and integrating OpenStack for production customers, including complex Cinder and Neutron architectures. Comfortable across consultancy, implementation, and pre-sales engineering, he has deep practical knowledge of high-availability network designs (DVR, VRRP), SDN controller integrations, and automation tooling like Juju, MAAS, Puppet and CloudFormation. Holding advanced degrees in computer science and an MBA, he pairs technical depth with business acumen to translate infrastructure constraints into deployable cloud architectures. An underrated strength is his repeated role as a bridge between research prototypes and production-ready deployments, turning academic ideas into resilient customer solutions.
