Senior🎓
Top SchoolBelal Galal is a seasoned Technical Architect with over a decade of experience designing and scaling enterprise platforms across banking, insurance, e-commerce, government, and aerospace. He progressed from senior Java developer to engineering manager and now owns end-to-end architecture for cloud-native, microservices and serverless systems, regularly aligning technical strategy with business goals in regulated, high-scale environments. At Volkswagen Group Digital Solutions and previous startups he led platform transformations, established architecture governance, and scaled teams and transaction throughput into the millions per day. Recently he’s focused on pragmatic AI-ready platform design—building production-oriented RAG and small language model integrations for enterprise document search and internal knowledge assistants. Known for bridging business and engineering, he combines hands-on implementation in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js and modern frontends with mentoring, clear technical decision records, and stakeholder-driven delivery. Based in Lisbon, he brings a bias for production-focused solutions that prioritize maintainability, observability and real-world adoption over research prototypes.
