Top SchoolBenjamín Herrera is a senior software engineer and serial founder with 11 years of experience building customer-focused web products and marketplaces from Santiago, Chile. He combines hands-on engineering (Ruby on Rails, Elixir/Phoenix, React/TypeScript) with product sensibility, having shipped features like Instagram-style Image Spaces, AI-assisted content copilot, quizzes, and embeddable marketing forms. As a former CTO and co-founder he’s led teams, scaled SaaS architectures on AWS, and driven performance wins that cut response times from seconds to hundreds of milliseconds. He prefers small, agile teams where his contributions move the needle and enjoys seeing users love what he builds. A pragmatic polyglot, he often blends Hotwire and modern JS with streaming, background jobs, and analytics stores (Kafka, ClickHouse) to solve real-world product problems.
