Top SchoolBerco Beute is a veteran tech entrepreneur and software engineer who has been building at the intersection of AI, multimedia and web technologies since 1990, currently leading Stekz and several founder-led initiatives from Groningen. He combines deep academic training (PhD in Distributed Multimedia, MSc in AI) with hands-on product and engineering leadership—launching and scaling companies like Paylogic and founding influential community events such as PyGrunn and aiGrunn. Berco specializes in applying intelligent automation and AI to remove operational bottlenecks, and enjoys exploring creative mashups of AI, music, 3D and software to create novel user experiences. A serial founder with roles as CTO, architect and organizer, he’s equally comfortable in low-level technical problem-solving and in shaping strategy for digitalization at scale. Notably, his civic-minded Web11 Foundation work underscores a commitment to open source and a better web architecture beyond purely commercial ventures.
