Top SchoolBill Kish is a seasoned CEO and investor based in San Francisco with a decade of experience leading service-platform and social CRM ventures, currently heading Maia Place and JoynIn. He combines operational leadership with a strong track record of seed and startup investing across software, biotech, and semiconductor equipment, including early R&D that produced a breathable polyurethane film as a lower-cost alternative to Gore-Tex. Bill has been a general partner in multiple technology and food-delivery ventures and helped finance Series A rounds that attracted top-tier VCs such as Matrix and Lightspeed. His background blends product commercialization, institutional equity management, and hands-on R&D—having influenced both semiconductor deposition tools and biotech materials. Active in community and board roles, he leverages extensive networks among consultants, advisers, and institutional partners to scale complex businesses. Married with deep local ties in Orinda and a hospitality-business education from Michigan State, he brings entrepreneurial breadth and a pragmatic investor’s eye to operational growth.
