Top SchoolBjörn Skoglund is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of experience building production systems across startups and enterprise teams, now based in New York. He blends hands-on engineering in Node, JavaScript, Python, Java and C++ with architectural leadership—previously leading an 8-person team to deliver a greenfield digital experience and now driving engineering work at Metropolis Technologies. Comfortable across cloud-native stacks (Docker, AWS) and content-heavy platforms, he has a track record of shipping end-to-end solutions from low-level hardware abstraction to user-facing web services. Colleagues know him for balancing pragmatic delivery with an appreciation for elegant, human-centered code—he believes beauty in code serves human value. His background includes systems work in video streaming and operating systems as well as solutions architecture for content management, giving him depth across performance-sensitive and product-focused domains. He holds an MS in Computer Engineering from Linköping University and brings a pragmatic curiosity that often surfaces as thoughtful refinements to code and team processes.
