San Francisco, California, United States
Summary
🤩
RockstarBobur Umurzokov is a founder and CTO with 10+ years building developer-focused products and programs, currently leading Datox and a DevRel-as-a-Service consultancy out of San Francisco. He specializes in developer advocacy, AI and data engineering, and has a track record of scaling developer adoption and community engagement for startups and enterprise partners including Microsoft, Neon, and RisingWave. His DevRel work contributed to Neon’s journey to a $1B acquisition, illustrating an ability to turn developer engagement into measurable business outcomes. Bobur pairs hands-on backend engineering experience from roles at AstraZeneca, Onoff, and Sberbank with strategic GTM and content-led growth—often crafting demo apps and technical content to drive product adoption. He holds advanced cybersecurity training from Carnegie Mellon and an engineering background from Politecnico di Torino, bringing both security-minded and product-centric perspectives to developer ecosystems. Not obvious from the title: he built one of Europe’s first consultancies focused exclusively on packaged DevRel services, bridging product, marketing, and engineering to accelerate developer-led growth.
