Bruno Costa
Portugal, Brazil
Summary
👤
SeniorBruno Costa is a technology leader and advisor with 12+ years of hands-on engineering experience and over a decade of leadership, known for turning early-stage ideas into production-ready products and scaling engineering organisations. He has driven platform and SRE strategy at Farfetch—delivering major productivity gains (cutting service provisioning from 14 days to 1), enforcing SLO discipline, and reducing cloud costs by ~60% through k8s migrations and optimisation. Equally comfortable as a first technical hire or as a senior exec, he coaches principal engineers, builds QA communities, and shapes hiring and MVP strategy for startups. His background spans architecture (event-driven, CQRS), developer experience, and operational excellence, with a track record of shipping search, marketplace, and data tooling projects. Based in Portugal, Bruno combines pragmatic engineering with strategic thinking, often stepping into technical due diligence, AI adoption, and founder advisement roles. Less obvious: he repeatedly scales rare senior technical roles (growing a principal chapter from 3 to 30+) while keeping them collaborative and mission-focused.
