Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolByron Jenkins is a senior software engineer with eight years of experience building resilient, event-driven financial systems and scalable microservices using Java, Golang, Python, and AWS. He pairs production-grade engineering—designing Kafka-based event pipelines, CQRS-backed services, and multi-region resilience—with a passion for teaching as an adjunct instructor at Temple University. His background ranges from modernizing frontends and introducing micro-frontend patterns to implementing critical card instrument logic and blue/green deployment pipelines at major financial firms. Self-taught from childhood curiosity about computers and bolstered by a CS degree, Byron actively creates educational social content to increase minority representation in STEM. Less obvious: he channels discipline and mentorship learned from a boxing upbringing into coaching students and driving cross-functional alignment in complex technical programs.
