Top SchoolCaleb Buening is a Purdue Computer Science student and software engineer with five years of hands-on experience building ML-driven tooling and C++/Python systems for manufacturing and R&D. At Hurco he scaled a 3D-file→ML pipeline, shipped a GNN automation demo for IMTS, and optimized MLflow tracking and training workflows—balancing performance improvements with practical developer tooling. Comfortable across systems and UI layers, he’s shipped Qt configuration managers, modular synthetic-data generators, and time-saving QA utilities that reflect a focus on robustness and developer productivity. Beyond code, Caleb brings leadership forged as a head lifeguard—planning, risk management, and training under pressure—and a background in competitive VEX robotics that informs his hardware-aware approach to AI.
