Summary
👤
SeniorCalle Dybedahl is a seasoned backend engineer and people leader with 17+ years delivering resilient systems and a career that began in Unix sysadmin in the 1990s. Currently Lead Backend Developer at Kivra, he brings deep, hands-on experience with Erlang/OTP and the BEAM ecosystem after stewarding a high-traffic production system. He’s equally comfortable designing distributed DNS testing engines (Zonemaster, PDT work) and writing mobile-native pieces for public-facing services. As a certified IT architect who moved into management, he combines technical credibility with practical consultant management—recruiting, mentoring and running ethically sustainable teams. His background bridging low-level operations, large-scale protocol work and people management gives him a rare perspective on systems that must be reliable, observable and maintainable.
