Top SchoolCarlo Occhiena is a founder and digital transformation leader who left a 15-year corporate career—including senior roles in the energy sector—to launch Aziona in 2021, a company focused on making digital transformation accessible through knowledge and technology exchange. As CEO of Aziona and co-founder of Reportino, he blends hands-on product-building with business strategy, drawing on experience as a digital operations manager and middle office/risk roles at Axpo Italia. He writes and shares ideas publicly (Hacker Noon contributor) and maintains an active developer presence via GitHub and personal websites, signaling a maker mindset beyond executive duties. Carlo’s background in finance and ongoing advanced studies in economics and data science inform a data-driven approach to digital initiatives. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic and mission-driven—“Just doin’ it for the cause”—which underscores a bias toward tangible impact over buzz. Based in Italy, he combines corporate rigor with startup agility to help innovators adopt practical digital solutions.
