He has led data-platform observability work that processes terabytes of CloudTrail daily, built single-pane monitoring with Thanos and OpenTelemetry, and operates an EKS proxy handling 20k requests/sec using OpenResty and Lua. Carlos blends hands-on engineering with leadership—running workshops, advocating observability practices, and shipping blueprints that accelerate dozens of squads.
