Senior🎓
Top SchoolCarlos L is a Principal Engineer specializing in network infrastructure planning with over a decade of experience modernizing carrier networks at Verizon. He designs, automates, and orchestrates Virtual Network Functions (VNFs), Cloud-native Network Functions (CNFs), and Network Services across OpenStack and multi-cloud platforms, driving lifecycle management and standardized onboarding. Known for turning manual onboarding workflows into centralized, automated toolchains, he blends deep hands-on operational troubleshooting (from Cisco ASRs to IPSec/BGP) with software skills in Ansible, scripting, and web tooling. He has a track record of cross-team leadership—aligning planning, maintenance engineering, and operations—to accelerate virtualization and reduce deployment timelines. Based in Sayreville, NJ, Carlos brings a practical ethos: building reproducible automation that survives production complexity and vendor heterogeneity. A detail others may miss: his background rising through field technician and operations roles gives him rare empathy for runbook clarity and real-world operational constraints when architecting cloud-native solutions.
