Top SchoolCarlos Laspina is a senior software engineer from Asunción with 14+ years building production-grade backend systems across financial, billing, and transactional domains. He specializes in Java and Spring Boot, designing scalable, event-driven architectures and tuning performance and security for high-throughput services. Parallel experience leading Laravel-based platforms gives him rare fluency across JVM and PHP ecosystems, enabling multi-tenant SaaS and real-time billing solutions. He has hands-on experience modernizing monolithic cores to microservices, implementing OAuth2/Keycloak, idempotency for payments, and streaming/batch patterns with Apache Camel. Currently contributing to AI training infrastructure while leading backend efforts at enterprise and startup engagements, he blends technical leadership with practical operational experience in production. Pragmatic and detail-oriented, he brings a deep focus on reliability and measurable improvements—often cutting complaint rates and boosting transaction performance by significant margins.
