Summary
👤
SeniorCarlos Paulino is a Staff Software Engineer with 14 years of experience building mobile-first and backend systems, now based in the New York City metro area and currently at Airbnb after a long Android tenure at American Express. He blends deep Android expertise and device management (including power- and connectivity-aware apps) with strong .NET, SQL Server and web application architecture skills developed across startups and enterprise projects. Carlos has delivered production systems from embedded OBD2 mobile analytics to multilingual tablet point-of-sale menus and large-scale ASP.NET inventory and analytics platforms for clients like Bayer and the US Army Reserve. Comfortable leading end-to-end projects, he pairs hands-on development with project management and deployment automation—writing device cloners, mass app pushers and backend services—to streamline rollouts. His background in telecommunications and electrical engineering gives him a practical systems perspective that surfaces in efficient, resilient mobile and server integrations.
