Top SchoolCarlos Perez is a Principal Design Manager based in Seattle with 11+ years designing cross-platform, productivity-driven experiences at Microsoft and prior agencies. He blends a rare combination of hands-on engineering (LAMP/ASP.net, SQL, iOS) and service design expertise to craft micro-interactions and immersive AR/VR experiences that aim for user flow and delight. His portfolio spans enterprise-grade products like OneDrive and SharePoint as well as consumer-facing projects for Nike, Visa, and Disney, demonstrating fluency across web, mobile, social and mixed-reality surfaces. Obsessed with mental models, behavioral economics and data-informed iteration, he continuously refines designs through prototyping, usability testing and analytics. Comfortable switching between Figma and the codebase, he champions pragmatic design that respects technical constraints while pushing creative boundaries. Collected academic grounding in software engineering/HCI underpins his ability to bridge strategy, UX and engineering to deliver measurable user impact.
