Top SchoolCarolyn Dew is a Principal Designer/Researcher with 11 years of experience crafting human-centered products for government and enterprise, currently leading design research at Nava on Automated Benefits Delivery for the VA. She blends interaction design, user research, and product strategy—comfortable from microinteractions to shaping roadmaps—and prefers individual contributor roles where she mentors peers and raises accessibility standards. Her work on the U.S. Web Design System at 18F helped a widely used, highly starred federal repo gain traction across agencies, reflecting her ability to turn research into reusable design systems. Prior roles span large media enterprise UX to federal innovation teams, giving her a rare mix of civic-focused impact and revenue-oriented product experience. Collected training in nonprofit management and journalism complements her design practice with strong communication and stakeholder-alignment skills.
