Summary
👤
SeniorCengiz Han is a seasoned technical leader and engineering director with over two decades of software experience and 15 years in senior leadership roles, currently leading engineering at EPAM Systems from Istanbul. He has built and scaled large teams and mission-critical financial and commerce platforms—most notably growing Trendyol’s checkout tribe to 110 people and driving BNPL, embedded trading, and standalone trading platforms at Colendi. Comfortable shifting between hands-on delivery and strategic oversight, he has led cloud-native replatforming, high-availability payment systems, and logistics engineering at companies including AWS, Delivery Hero, Wayfair and Hepsiburada. A founder and former CTO of a stealth startup, he brings an entrepreneurial mindset to product-led engineering and regulatory-compliant architectures. Colleagues know him for combining deep technical fluency with people-first scaling: hiring, structure and processes that turn fragmented orgs into owners of end-to-end journeys. Based in Istanbul with a background in computer programming, he blends consulting rigor from ThoughtWorks with large-scale product execution.
