Top SchoolCharlie Sale is a Senior Software Engineer with nine years of experience building enterprise-grade systems and commercial products, currently at Liberty Mutual. He combines hands-on microservice and SAFe Agile experience from corporate IT with product-focused development skills honed at OneCause and client delivery from consulting at Outside Source. His academic work at Purdue’s Duality Lab involved large-scale data collection and empirical software engineering research—designing tools that processed 300,000+ artifacts on a supercomputer and contributing to a manuscript for a top-tier venue. Comfortable across backend, mobile (Jetpack Compose), and full-stack JavaScript/Go stacks, he’s shown an ability to lead small teams, reduce technical debt, and launch features that connect hardware and users. Ambitious and inquisitive, he’s pursuing an MS in Computer Science while intentionally exploring new domains to broaden his engineering impact.
