Top SchoolChris Amico is a senior developer and journalist with 16 years of experience building storytelling tools, data-driven reporting platforms, and community news products for organizations from local papers to national outlets. He blends Python, Django, Go and JavaScript expertise with a reporter’s instinct for structure, having co-founded Glass Eye Media, led interactive teams at FRONTLINE and PBS NewsHour, and most recently maintained DocumentCloud at MuckRock. Chris designs systems that let non-technical editors publish rich, bespoke narratives at scale—one project enabled unique presentations for thousands of stories without developer intervention. Equally comfortable writing prose or code, he specializes in structured journalism and multimedia storytelling around topics like climate, food systems, and criminal justice. A habit of dissecting institutions and connecting moving parts gives him a knack for turning messy datasets and bureaucracies into clear, usable stories and tools.
