Senior🎓
Top SchoolChris Amundsen is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with 11 years of hands-on experience designing and developing products across national labs and medical, solar, and consumer industries. Currently at Brookhaven National Laboratory, he brings deep CAD and FEA expertise—SolidWorks, AutoDesk Inventor, Pro/ENGINEER and Cosmos—paired with practical knowledge of AutoCAD, MRP systems, ECO processes and Microsoft Project. His career includes product development roles at Biodex and Lepel where he translated regulatory and manufacturing constraints into robust, production-ready designs. Based in Smithtown, NY, Chris blends lab-scale engineering rigor with real-world productization experience, often bridging the gap between prototype analysis and manufacturable solutions. An engineer who values process as much as geometry, he’s comfortable driving both detailed part-level design and cross-functional release procedures.
