Top SchoolChris Brown is a Lead Engineer based in Glasgow with 13 years of experience building and scaling web and e-commerce platforms, currently leading a cross-functional team on a fashion-focused global storefront. He combines deep PHP and modern JavaScript expertise (Node and React) with hands-on leadership—growing teams, hiring, mentoring, and still shipping production code daily. His background includes designing API tooling and integrations with high-profile partners, search and messaging stacks (Solr/ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ), and driving guild-level improvements that align engineering with product goals. Known for turning ambiguous requirements into pragmatic, competitive features, he brings both the operational discipline of running client sites and the strategic eye to scale teams from small squads to 45-person orgs. An early developer-turned-leader, Chris blends commercial empathy from retail management with technical rigor from an Edinburgh Computer Science degree.
