Senior🎓
Top SchoolChris D is an experienced systems engineer and technical manager with over a decade in mission-critical aerospace and flight software environments, currently serving at NASA JPL. He has built and led teams of 15–20 engineers, managed multi-million dollar budgets, and architected model-based engineering and safety-critical development environments used on flagship missions like Europa Clipper. Deeply versed in MBSE/UML/SysML, DoDAF, DO-178b requirements-based testing, and a broad toolchain from MagicDraw and DOORS to Simulink and Green Hills, he blends hands-on development (Python, C/C++, Java, Matlab) with strategic platform and cloud scaling. Not obvious from titles: he pairs human-centered design with formal modeling to overcome cultural resistance and deliver operational adoption across diverse engineering communities. Based in Los Angeles, he also teaches systems engineering training, translating advanced modeling practices into practical skill development for engineers.
