Top SchoolChris Fortier is a Staff Software Engineer and hands-on platform/SRE leader with 12 years of experience building and operating large-scale cloud and private infrastructure. He’s led cross-functional teams at Datadog and Two Sigma managing Kubernetes and OpenStack platforms spanning thousands of nodes and multi-cloud environments while scaling organizations from single teams to 25+ engineers across five countries. Known for reducing operational toil—whether cutting release cycles from months to hours or lowering pageable events dramatically—he combines strategic planning with deep technical execution in automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure engineering. He has driven cloud adoption for sensitive research workloads, built bespoke cluster tooling and bootstrap systems, and served as a core incident commander for high-severity outages. Based in Hoboken, NJ, he pairs business-facing experience from earlier retail and operations roles with an academic grounding in information management from Harvard Extension. Colleagues rely on him not just to design resilient platforms but to roll up his sleeves and deliver the prototypes that become production standards.
