Top SchoolChris Heckathorne is a Senior Technical Lead with 13 years of experience designing and modernizing backend systems, from large-scale ASP.NET platforms to AI-driven, multi-step agent workflows. Based in the Albany NY metro area, he excels at bringing clarity to complex distributed systems through simple architectures, observable patterns, and developer tooling that measurably improves velocity. At Suzy he built an end-to-end "Chat with Your Data" system using custom MCP agents, LangGraph-style orchestration, FastAPI services, and Postgres-backed conversation state to safely query hundreds of millions of survey responses. He champions engineering quality—expanding automated tests from zero to 10,000+ checks—and mentors teams to adopt maintainable practices that reduce regressions. Known for pragmatic migrations and performance-focused infrastructure work, he also has deep roots in embedded/C++ device drivers and high-throughput web systems.
