Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolChris Kime is a seasoned software leader and development manager based in Austin with a multi-decade track record of building high-performance, enterprise-grade systems across IBM and AMD. He combines hands-on kernel and systems engineering (C/C++/Unix kernels) with product and release leadership for AI and vision platforms, having led PowerAI Vision/Visual Insights and multiple OpenPOWER initiatives. Known for driving Agile/DevOps transformations and mentoring teams, he has shipped global releases for low-latency financial and AI products while holding several patents from earlier kernel work. His background blends deep technical rigor from UCLA and UT Austin with strategic partnership development, and he now focuses on HPC solutions and performance analysis at AMD. An interesting thread through his career is moving specialist, high-reliability technologies into broadly adopted product platforms—from cluster HA and messaging to AI visual insights.
