Top SchoolChris Thomson is a pragmatic software engineer with 13 years of experience building revenue-critical systems and internal tools, currently shaping real-time government monitoring at Page. Previously a Senior Developer at Wealthsimple and a longtime engineer at Shopify, he shipped merchant-facing billing features like local-currency billing and recurring revenue integrations that stopped significant financial leakage. Comfortable across Ruby on Rails, Node.js and cloud migrations, he has a track record of narrowing ambiguous scopes into MVPs and driving parallel workstreams to launch quickly. Early entrepreneurial experience as the sole developer of Fusion Ads taught him to run production services end-to-end, and he’s known for mentoring peers through frequent code reviews and operational troubleshooting.
