Top SchoolChristine Moran is a seasoned engineering leader with 14 years of experience who currently serves as VP of Engineering at Horizon3.ai after progressing from Director there earlier in 2024–25. She blends deep technical chops—from mobile security work on the Signal iOS client to applied machine learning and large-scale data pipelines—with program leadership earned at NASA JPL, where she managed exoplanet exploration and rover camera operations. Comfortable in research and production environments, Christine has held postdoctoral and research roles in theoretical astrophysics and numerical relativity while also contributing to secure, user-facing mobile software. Her background spans startups, national labs, and academia, reflecting a rare mix of product-focused engineering, security expertise, and scientific rigor. Based in Pasadena, she values curated professional networks (only connecting with people she’s met) and has a creative side evidenced by an MFA in creative writing alongside an MIT SB and a PhD in physics.
