Top SchoolChristopher Agocs is a Senior Production Engineer based in Seattle with 12 years of hands-on experience building and operating large-scale production systems across startups and major tech companies. He has progressed from systems and IT roles into senior software and production engineering positions at Datadog, Nautilus Labs, Pomerium, and now Meta, with deep experience in high-availability infrastructure, real-time data pipelines, and deployment automation. Christopher blends low-level operational know-how (Redis HA, ETL, SSIS, server builds) with modern cloud-native practice, reliably shipping observability and production-ready features at scale. His background spans embedded HCI and networking from Georgia Tech to practical ops work early in his career, which gives him a pragmatic systems perspective often missing in pure software engineers. Known for rolling up his sleeves on both code and infrastructure, he’s equally comfortable reimplementing critical data pipelines as mentoring teams on reliable release processes. Off the beaten path, he describes himself as a “ramblin’ wreck,” hinting at a curious, tinkering approach to engineering problems.
