Top SchoolChristopher Poenaru is a Staff platform engineer with 11 years of experience designing secure, scalable distributed systems and a proven track record enabling Fortune 500 partnerships. He builds high-throughput services, zero-trust infrastructure, and multi-tenant isolation platforms—having led a Platform Security org from 0 to 14 engineers and shipped a centralized token service serving 30K+ QPS. His work spans automated data deletion and certificate rotation systems, PKI and mTLS rollouts, and extensional routing for strict data residency and compliance across global regions. Comfortable both as an individual contributor and a cross-organizational leader, he has repeatedly translated sharp security and compliance requirements into production-ready, auditable systems. Based in Squamish, BC, he combines deep backend and infrastructure craft with a history of operationalizing novel patterns (e.g., introducing Go/gRPC and org-wide best practices) at scale.
