Summary
👤
SeniorChuck Smith is a Berlin-based founder and iOS-focused developer with 12+ years of experience shipping native Swift and Objective-C apps since the App Store's launch. He runs indie studio Ludisto, where he designs and publishes cross-platform games and utilities—most notably What the Shell, a simultaneous-turn strategy game in public beta across iOS and Android in 10 languages with online multiplayer. Chuck has led product and technical teams at startups (Amikumu) and enterprise engagements (MBition/Mercedes), blending hands-on mobile engineering with product-minded indie publishing. His eclectic background includes Unity, Godot, MAUI/C#, video post-production for social media, and multilingual freelance translation between English, German, and Esperanto — he also founded the Esperanto Wikipedia. This mix of game design, localization, and long-term iOS expertise makes him particularly strong at projects combining language learning, board-game mechanics, and cross-platform player experiences.
