Summary
🤩
RockstarClaire Blackshaw is a Technical Director and creative programmer with 11 years of experience building VR and game experiences, currently running a VR studio focused on story-driven projects. Previously a senior engineer on Adobe Substance 3D’s Modeller, she specialized in porting VR code to OpenXR, vendor integrations, and non-destructive SDF sculpting for 3D content creation. Her background spans influential roles at Media Molecule and Sony, where she combined R&D, UX and online systems work to prototype metaverse and social features. Comfortable straddling design and low-level engineering, she repeatedly moves between prototyping, platform integrations, and production delivery. Based in London, she balances technical leadership with creative publishing through a small indie press she co-runs, and brings an artist’s sensibility—stage performance and skating—to inform playful, human-centered interactive systems.
