Top SchoolClayton Cohn is a research-focused computer scientist with 11 years of engineering experience, currently pursuing a PhD at Vanderbilt while working as a Research Assistant on AI and NLP for learning environments. He designs conversational pedagogical agents, performs discourse and event analysis of nursing and high-school science training, and explores multimodal, few-shot, and data-augmentation approaches to education-focused NLP. Previously he led a small team as an iOS developer building a music discovery app and proprietary artist-performance algorithms, bringing product-minded engineering to academic research. A former Marine sergeant and Purple Heart recipient, he pairs disciplined leadership and field-tested resilience with deep technical rigor. Based in Nashville, he blends hands-on prototyping with theoretical inquiry and a playful coding curiosity summed up by his GitHub motto: "You had me at Hello World!"
