Top SchoolConnor Dillon is a Software Development Engineer in Test with 8 years of hands-on experience building full-stack, high-performance systems and leading open-source projects. He co-created Query IQ, an OSS tool that surfaces SQL health and per-query performance metrics, and led its backend architecture and migration efforts to improve developer velocity and reduce costs. At Scale Computing and as a startup CTO he has driven robust CI/CD, OAuth-secured services, and test coverage uplift while cutting deployment and login times dramatically. Trained as a physicist at the University of Washington, he brings rigorous data-driven analysis and low-level systems familiarity—from assembly to large-scale Python analytics—to software performance optimization. Outside of engineering he’s an accomplished fire dancer, blacksmith, and drone pilot, an unusual creative background that surfaces in practical craft and attention to detail.
